(1900 – 1974) who was the widow of Walter Von Nessen, the noted designer of lighting from the 1920’s until his death in 1944.  While not as famous as her “Anywhere” lamp, recently featured on a U.S. Postage Stamp, the lamps are her own design.  (There is evidence that the “Anywhere” lamp was designed by a German lady, Lilly Reich (1885 – 1947) and shown in a 1930 – 1931 Berlin Exhibition).  The lamps are in excellent condition with eggshell enameled shades, a circular weighted brass base and a brass shaft / arm.  The shaft swivels on the base and the shades swing up and down for excellent reading, utility.  Each lamp is 20” tall.
