Camille Faure French Art Deco Red Enamel Vase

This superlative French art deco vase is Atelier Camille Faure and was designed by Andree Faure (1904 – 1985). The vase, in transparent to bold red enamel combined with pure white to a feathery pink enamel with areas of pure black, creates a dramatic geometric point and counterpoint. The enamel, in high relief, is laid over silver foil to magical effect. Created ca. 1940, the vase is signed “C. Faure Limoges” and is pictured in Cork Marcheschi’s book, Camille Faure: Impossible Objects on page 163. The vase measures 5 ½” high and is 4” in diameter.
