French Art Deco Furniture

Charles Dudouyt Diningroom

This French art deco dining room suite by Charles Dudouyt ( - 1947) features a sideboard, dining table with integral leaves, six side chairs and two arm chairs. The sideboard has a top of rust, gray and white marble, two side doors revealing drawers and shelves and two central doors revealing shelves. The oak body has ribbon décor on the front and sides, copper fittings and a wonderful lap cap foot. The table again of solid oak repeats the ribbon design of the sideboard and at each end has doors revealing storage with copper pulls and the same lap foot. The leaves pull out from each end and have their own supports. The six side chairs of solid oak feature upholstered backs and seats and copper buttons on the backs. The arm chairs have upholstered seats and backs. The sideboard measures 90" long x 22" deep x 44" high. The dining table measures 65" long (109" with leaves open) x 39" wide x 29" high. The side chairs measure 17 ½ wide x 19" deep x 32 ½ high, the armchairs measure 19 ½ wide x 19 ½ deep x 34" high.
