French Art Deco D.I.M. 1923 Table

This superb French art deco occasional table was exhibited at the 1923 Salon De Automne by D.I.M. (Decoration Interieure Moderne) and was designed by Rene Joubert (1931) and Georges Mouveau. The table is a "tour de force" of French design in palissandre with delicate tapering legs reeded at the top and terminating in bullet feet. The top and apron feature patchwork sections of palissandre wood separated by mother of pearl stinging and a multicolored mother of pearl flower in the center. The table measures 21" on each side and stands 30" high.
