Favre Cycles Motos Labor Art Deco Poster

G. Favre created this French art deco motorcycle poster for Labor Cycles & Motos ca. 1930. The firm, which made bicycles and motorcycles, advertises the fact with an abstract train made of their two products (cycles motos) passing over a bridge supported by their company name. The train puffs smoke in the form of laurel leaves, symbol of champions, to further their motto "For the Champions and Riders". A realistic picture of one of their motorcycles against a red background dominates the lower quarter of the poster. The small circle shows a line drawing of, again, a train passing over a bridge with a bicycle underneath. The poster measures 45" x 30". Presented in a black lacquer frame and measuring overall 50" x 34".
