Jean Dupas Bordeaux Art Deco Poster

This, arguably the most famous of Jean Dupasâ (1882-1964) French art deco posters, was created for the 1937 Exhibition and promotes his native Bordeaux. Subtitled "Son Port' Ses Monuments, Ses Vins" (Our Port, Its Architecture, Its Wines), the image is of a nude holding a column of grapes supporting a sailing ship with her right hand and a column of buildings supporting a modern ship. The poster was printed in 1937 by Rousseau Freres, Bordeaux and measures 39" x 24" and is elegantly presented in a custom black and silver frame.
