French Art Deco Furniture

Jean Royere Day Bed

This French art deco daybed is by Jean Royere (1902 – 1964) and is from the 1940’s. The maple frame sits on four block feet. The ends, which narrow as they curve out, are braced by three cross slats. Recovered in burgundy ultra suede and sporting two cylindrical bolsters, the daybed is a dramatic presence. The bed measures 83” long x 36” wide and 27 ½” high.
