Jerry Roth Pen & Ink Drawing

This pen & ink drawing on paper was done during the 1930’s by New York WPA artist Jerry Roth. Roth was, at the age of 16, the youngest artist at the WPA. A very strong and playful image of a man leaning over to look at fish and maybe catch a few to eat. The image measures 15 ½” x 10 ½”. It is signed on the right center “Jerome Henry Roth”. Titled “Man and Fish” and signed “Jerome Henry Roth” on the reverse mat.
