Bronzes & Art Deco Metalware

Lalique Bronze Medal

Rene Lalique (1860 -1945) designed this bronze medallion in 1910 commemorating the Centenary of Chilean Independence. The front cast in relief with a female figure standing amongst sheaves of wheat, the dates 1810 – 1910, and “Republica de Chile Primer Centenario” and stamped “R. Lalique”. The reverse with the Chilean flag and coat of arms over a seaside landscape with a mountain in the background. Stamped on the bottom “Bronze”. Measuring 2 3/8” by 1 1/8” and in its original fitted presentation case.
