This French art deco chandelier was made in the 1930’s by the firm Muller FreresMuller Freres
[Founded in 1895] 

(Muller Brothers) in Luneville, France, was one of the premier glassmakers of the period. The Mullers produced art glass competing with Daum and Galle from 1895 till the war intervened in 1914. Resuming production in 1919, the company concentrated on ceiling fixtures, wall sconces and table lamps. The Depression caused Muller Freres to cease production in 1933 and finally close down in 1936.

, located in Luneville. The chandelier has a central bowl and four smaller bowls of smoked glass, all partially etched. Each bowl has four graduated rings before expanding to the main bowl, the upper portion is of clear glass. The structure is supported by four square chrome tube rods descending from a square chrome ceiling cap decorated on all four sides with a geometric sunrise. The four bowls are attached to the center bowl by chrome arms. It is 32" in diameter and drops 32" from the ceiling. The glass is marked "Muller Fr." The fixture has been rewired for American electricity, it is in excellent condition and ready to hang.
