Pair of Norman Bel Geddes Candleholders

Norman Bel Geddes (1893-1958) designed this pair of satin chrome candle holders for the Revere Copper and Brass Inc. They were introduced in 1935 with their first gift catalog as the no. 135 tuxedo candlesticks. The catalog raphodises “A gentle grace and a flowing rhythm of design seldom caught in any but the finest handmade article”. Each holder accommodates 3 candles and is marked “Revere, Rome, NY”. They are 7 1/8” long, 2 ¼” wide and 2 ¾” high.
